Warts and verrucas are small lumps on the skin that most people have at some point in their life. They are highly contagious and can be caught from coming into contact with a surface that has been infected.
Common warts feel firm and rough and grow on fingers, elbows, knees and the face.
Verrucas are found on the feet and can be quite painful, almost like stepping on a needle. They have tiny black dots under the hard skin.
